The Supermoon

Tonight I felt wholesome, full of energy, happiness and enthusiasm. A radiance glowed from within my soul. The way I spoke, the jokes I cracked, the manner in which I laughed. Yes, the manner in which I laughed. Unabashed, uninhibited, unapologetic.

And just as I finished dancing to one of my most favourite songs, a dance that I did in absolute abandon, my little one cried out, “Look mummy, look! The moon, the moon!” Where I said, “There, mummy, up!”

And that’s when I saw the super moon in its absolute radiance, fully aglow, looking like a ball of energy yet exuding a calmness that only the moon can. A fine balance.

I stood there in wonder, mirroring the wonder of awe that was reflected in my little one’s voice, in his eyes, on his face. It all made sense now. The wholesomeness, the energy, the joy. And above all a sense of calm, a rare juxtaposition of life itself.
